Toon shader, lost love found again.
For this documentary mini-series a lot of time was spend figuring out a proper title sequence to get the viewer invested from the get go.
In terms of what it had to convey information wise in the short 25seconds, and also which style would serve the purpose the best.
The choice ended up being a toon shader. More specifically Arnold Toon Shader with the added styles of cross-hatching and halftone from printed cartoons and the spiderverse movie.
